How are your New Year’s Resolutions going? Do you make New Year’s resolutions or start the new year thinking about things you would like to do differently? Most high school and college students have started a new semester or quarter, so now is your opportunity to adjust and make a fresh start. Read some tips about how to keep those New Year’s resolutions or new semester resolutions at the end of this post.

College Apps Done, Whew, Now What? January is when most seniors have completed all of their college applications. Many think that this is now the time to relax and wait for colleges to respond. But the process of applying to college never takes a rest! Two recommendations we have for all college seniors is to complete the FAFSA, which helps you to qualify for financial aid wherever you attend (4-year or community college), and start looking for scholarships (we suggest that you use one of these scholarship aggregators: Fastweb, ScholarshipSearch, or ScholarshipMonkey). Parents can help with these things, too!

At ForwarDirections, we help students and their families make the all-important college and career decisions that will put the student on the path toward success.

FocusonFutureJoining ForwarDirections provides:

  • Initial consultation process to determine student interests and goals
  • College or career selection based on interests and goals
  • Ongoing online support via group and individual meetings
  • Ongoing network for collaborating and sharing with one another
  • Ongoing support and guidance through the first year of college

We guide students and their parents, based on their interests, through a series of processes. Each of these steps and processes has been researched and designed to give your student a personalized and customized experience in using the right tools to be successful at each stage of the college journey.
